Expect the unexpected
Anything can go wrong
And will go wrong, so…
Make a plan and prepare
Be flexible, ready, willing
Relaxed, ready for action
When it all goes wrong,
Your best is your limit
Forgive your missteps

Tired hands, tired mind
Worn, aching, tender
Spiraling mind wound
Escape
Senseless team chatter
Taskings and demands
Drama, meetings, noise
Embrace
Backyard birds choir
Cool relief craft beer
Pause, breathe, exhale

Social media’s strength
What was I doing again?
Scroll for content, engage
Shoot, what time is it now?
One more video, a short
Did I feed my children?
Author’s note: Jokes aside, to quote the philosopher poet, Marshall Mathers “A lot of truth is said in jest.” Social media can connect, but it is all about healthy habits and self management. Easy stuff…
I am trying to direct some traffic toward my Facebook Author page, which I do invite you to follow for more interactive content, WordPress has its uses, but limited in different ways that Social Media. I have a big project I’m working on there right now, that will be the first place that it is announced. WordPress is a parking spot for my work, but Facebook will be the town hall.

Deep yawn
Fat fingers
Mashed mind
Blurred vision
Coffee strains
First stretch
It’s too early

Every encounter random,
But maybe not by chance
At first, always a stranger
Only once, never again
A step toward
Colleague
Neighbor
Friend
Lover
A step away
Acquaintance
Former
Used to
Ex…
Choose best foot forward
Better not left to chance

Normally when I’m not feeling a prompt I’m a bit critical of the prompt itself. Today I think the prompt is fine, I’m lagging a bit with coffee and sleep though.
Not critical of anything.
I’m pulling outa longer piece I put together and haven’t released, it was graciously rejected when I tried to submit it. I don’t even remember by whom at this point.

It’s spin is disorienting
A HMMWV simulation
More fun than we admit
For training, we tumble
Rollover
Rollover
Rollover
A sharp turn or blast
The hulking MRAP twirls
Grab the gunner
Rollover
Rollover
Rollover
The ground settles
Out the back they crawl
A helicopter blade whirls
A pop off the right flank
Gunner rotates, safety off
A shower of shells, chime
Three, six or nine months
Time spent at great
distance from all familiar
The world spun fast
On an opposite pole
Far away, in familiar places
It’s spin is disorienting

Grab a book
Novel ideas
Be a beginner
Accept failure
Fail differently
Learn always

Trying something out, I know that it is a bit spammy to post links / comments and the like referencing your own works in other folks blogs.
For this post, I am encouraging it. Please share links to your blog, a post, podcast, website, or whatever in the comments below.
I also encourage you to check out the folks who have posted in the comments, enjoy the cross-pollination and find some other creatives you may not otherwise have seen.
My only ask is that you not be spammy/bitcoin/scheme. I’ll just delete it. Be cool bro.
Final note, I’m reviving my old author page on Facebook, you can find the link here:
https://www.facebook.com/AuthorAdamFenner
I’ll start posting there in the near future if you want to follow me, it will be a bit from WordPress but there will be other related content as well.

Globe trotting, travel preference
Explore wide, experience global
Life worth living, stretches far
Restrictions limited, well lived
Challenge accepted, touch poles
Clime, place, accepted challenges

We all need a little help
A little patience at times
Support when challenged
By problems we created
Offer experienced advice
Let us walk upon our feet
